    Pemirolast is a histamine H1 receptor antagonist and a mast cell stabilizer that prevents the release of histamine.1 It also blocks the release of substance P, neurokinin A, and calcitonin gene-related peptide from sensory nerves.2 Pemirolast has been used for the treatment of allergic conjunctivitis.3
