Tropine is a naturally-occurring tropane alkaloid extracted primarily from plants of the Solanaceae family.1 It serves as an intermediate in the synthesis of a variety of bioactive alkaloids, including atropine (Item No. 12008), benztropine (Item No. 18214), and scopolamine, many of which have potent neurological actions.1,2
