    Product Description

    Dieldrin is an organochlorine insecticide and an antagonist of GABAA receptors (IC50 = 3.27 µM in rat brain vesicles).1 It increases cell proliferation and the estrogen receptor transactivation gene response in MCF-7 cells when used at a concentration of 5 µM and inhibits the response to the synthetic androgen R1881 in CHO cells when used at concentration of 20 µM.2 Dieldrin is toxic to rats with an LD50 value of 46 mg/kg and induces hyperexcitability, seizures, and death.3,1
