Cyazofamid

Cyazofamid is a fungicide.¹ It is active against several isolates of P. infestans, as well as P. sojae, P. aphanidermatum, P. paddicum, P. sylvaticum, and A. cochlioides (EC₅₀s = 0.008-0.03, 0.2, 0.02, 0.2, 0.2, and 0.2 µg/ml, respectively). Cyazofamid (10 µM) selectively inhibits P. spinosum mitochondrial complex III, also known as cytochrome bc₁ complex, activity over B. cinerea, S. cerevisiae, potato tuber, and rat liver mitochondrial complex III activities.² It protects against P. brassicae-induced root hair infections in cabbage when applied to dry soil at a dose of 10 mg/kg.³ Formulations containing cyazofamid have been used as fungicides in agriculture.
