    Product Description

    1,2-Diphytanoyl-sn-glycero-3-PC is a phospholipid containing the tetramethylated long-chain (16:0) diphytanic acid at the sn-1 and sn-2 positions. It has been used in the creation of lipid bilayer membranes.1,2 1,2-Diphytanoyl-sn-glycero-3-PC, in combination with LPS, has been used to form the outer leaflet of a tethered bilayer lipid membrane as a model system to examine the effect of antibiotics on Gram-negative bacteria membranes.2
