5-FAM-Amyloid-β (1-42) peptide is a fluorescently labeled amyloid-β peptide. Amyloid-β (1-42) (Aβ42) peptide (Item No. 20574) is the primary form of Aβ found in amyloid plaques in postmortem cerebral cortex from patients with Alzheimer's disease and its aggregation results in the formation of neurotoxic fibrils or globular oligomers.1,2 5-FAM-Amyloid-β (1-42) is a labeled form of Aβ42 containing 5-carboxyfluorescein (5-FAM; Item No. 19581), which displays excitation/emission maxima of 492/518 nm, respectively.
