    Product Description

    OM173-αA is a quinone bacterial metabolite originally isolated from Streptomyces that has antimicrobial activity.1,2 It inhibits the growth of the bacteria M. gallisepticum, M. pneumoniae, and S. aureus in vitro with MIC values ranging from 0.39 to 3.13 μg/ml. OM173-αA also inhibits the growth of the plant pathogenic fungus P. oryzae (MIC = 3.12 μg/ml) and several species of Trichophyton (MICs = 12.5-25 μg/ml).1
