    SKF 83566 is a dopamine D1 receptor antagonist.1,2,3 In vivo, SKF 83566 (0.005, 0.01, and 0.03 mg/kg) reduces dexbenzetimide- and scopolamine-induced locomotor stereotypy in rats.1 It decreases ghrelin-induced increases in novel object exploration and food intake in rats when administered at a dose of 100 µg/kg.2 SKF 83566 also reduces schedule-induced polydipsia in rats.3
