    Product Description

Xanthone is a polyketide synthase-derived xanthone that has been found in G. mangostana.1,2 It is the scaffold of several pharmacologically active compounds, including α-mangostin (Item No. 29108), garcinone D (Item No. 30906), and O-methyl sterigmatocystin (Item No. 22070).3 Xanthone inhibits monoamine oxidase A (MAO-A; IC50 = 0.84 µM).
