    Product Description

CD38 inhibitor I is an inhibitor of CD38 (IC50 = 17.7 nM).1 It is selective for CD38 over poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase 1 (PARP1), sirtuin 1 (SIRT1), and nicotinamide phosphoribosyltransferase (Nampt) when used at a concentration of 100 nM. CD38 inhibitor I (200 nM) increases NAD+ levels in mouse embryonic fibroblasts (MEFs). It decreases glucose and insulin levels in an intraperitoneal glucose tolerance test in 2-year-old, but not 1-year-old or 3-month-old, mice when administered at a dose of 10 mg/kg twice per day. CD38 inhibitor I prevents age-dependent decreases in exercise capacity and physical activity and increases in DNA damage in liver and skeletal muscle in mice.
