    Product Description

    Fosfomycin is a broad-spectrum bactericidal antibiotic.1,2 It is active against Salmonella and P. aeruginosa at 1.56 and 6.25 µg/ml, respectively, as well as methicillin-sensitive S. aureus (MSSA), cephalosporin- and penicillin-resistant S. pneumoniae, methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA), and vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus. Formulations containing fosfomycin have been used in the treatment of urinary tract infections.
