    Product Description

Atogepant is an antagonist of the calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) receptor (IC50 = 0.026 nM).1 It is selective for the CGRP receptor over the adrenomedullin receptors (AM1) and AM2, calcitonin (CT) receptor, amylin receptor 1 (AMY1), and AMY3 receptor (IC50s = >18,000, 400, 6,274, 2.4 and 1,418 nM, respectively). Atogepant (3-30 mg/kg) increases the mechanical pain threshold in the von Frey test in a rat model of nitroglycerin-induced migraine. Formulations containing atogepant have been used in the prevention of episodic migraines.
