    PF-00835231 is an inhibitor of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS-CoV) and SARS-CoV-2 main protease (Mpro), also known as 3C-like protease (3CLpro; Kis = 4 and 0.27 nM, respectively).1 It reduces the infectivity of SARS-CoV and common cold human coronavirus 229E (HCoV-229E) in Vero cells (EC50s = 4.8 and 0.09 µM, respectively).
