Pseudotropine is an alkaloid and a plant metabolite of the tropane tropinone (Item No. 34287) that has been found in A. belladonna.1 It is biosynthesized from tropinone by tropinone reductase II. Pseudotropine has been found as a contaminant in foodstuffs due to coharvesting of pseudotropine-containing weeds in agriculture.2
