DOWNLOAD NOWProline-arginine-rich 26 (PR 26) is a synthetic peptide fragment of the antibiotic peptide PR 39 peptide (Item No. 36717).1 It is active against E. coli, S. typhimurium, S. choleraesuis, and S. suis (MICs = 2, 1, 2, and 1 µg/ml, respectively). PR 26 (3 µM) inhibits S. typhimurium infection of rat IEC-6 intestinal cells. It increases phagocytosis of S. choleraesuis in isolated porcine neutrophils when used at a concentration of 2 µM. PR 26 (1 µM) induces chemotaxis in isolated porcine neutrophils.2
