    Product Description

LOC1886 is an inhibitor of glutathione peroxidase 4 (GPX4; Ki = 102 µM).1 It covalently binds to GPX4U46C and inhibits GPX4-mediated reduction of phospholipid hydroperoxides in HT-1080 cell lysates when used at a concentration of 100 µM. LOC1886 (100 µM) increases lipid peroxidation in HT-1080 cells, an effect that can be rescued by the ferroptosis inhibitor ferrostatin-1 (Item No. 17729).
