Explore CGMP Lipid Services1,2-Dioleoyl-3(S)-trimethylammoniumpropane (S-DOTAP) is a cationic lipid and the less immunologically active isomer of DOTAP (Item No. 15110).1,2 Lipoplexes containing S-DOTAP and encapsulating siRNA targeting the gene encoding aromatase, CYP19A1, decrease aromatase activity in MCF-7 breast cancer cells.1 Vaccination with a peptide epitope from human papillomavirus (HPV) 16 protein E7 in S-DOTAP-containing liposomes decrease tumor size but do not induce IFN-γ production by CD8+ T cells and tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) in a murine cervical cancer model.2
