    Product Description

1,2,3,4,7,8-Hexachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin is a polychlorinated dibenzodioxin (PCDD). It induces the activity of aryl hydrocarbon hydroxylase (AHH) when used at a concentration of 47 pmol/egg in chicken embryo livers.1 1,2,3,4,7,8-Hexachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin induces toxicity in rats (LD50 = 1.871 mg/kg).2 It has been found in freshwater fish and in the air near municipal waste incinerators.3,4
