    Product Description

SIBA is an isobutylthio-modified derivative of the amino acid derivative S-adenosylhomocysteine (SAH; Item No. 13603).1 It reduces viral infectivity in HEp-2 cells infected with herpes simplex virus 1 (HSV-1) when used at a concentration of 1 mM.2 SIBA (0.5 and 1 mM) inhibits the oncogenic transformation of primary chicken embryo fibroblasts induced by Rous sarcoma virus (RSV).1 It decreases the number of metastases in a model of rhabdomyosarcoma in rats fed a low methionine diet when administered at a dose of 15 mg/kg three times weekly.3
