    Product Description

    5α-Pregnane-3α,20α-diol is an active metabolite of progesterone (Item No. 15876).1 It is formed from progesterone via 5α-pregnane-20α-ol-3-one and 5α-pregnane-3α-ol-20-one intermediates. 5α-Pregnane-3α,20α-diol (10 µM) increases intracellular calcium levels in washed isolated human platelets.2
