    Product Description

    Phenylethyl 3-methylcaffeate is a caffeic acid ester that has been found in propolis, a resin produced by honeybees, and has anticancer activity.1,2 Dietary administration of phenylethyl 3-methylcaffeate (750 ppm) reduces the incidence of both invasive and non-invasive colonic adenocarcinomas and the activity of colonic mucosal and tumor phosphatidylinositol-specific phospholipase C (PI-PLC) in a rat model of azoxymethane-induced carcinogenesis.1 It also increases intratumoral apoptosis in a rat model of azoxymethane-induced carcinogenesis.2
