Cardiolipin (16:1/16:1/16:1/16:1) is an anionic phospholipid containing the long-chain monounsaturated fatty acid (MUFA) palmitoleic acid (Item Nos. 10009871 | 21911). It increases the activation of, and cytokine production by, DN32.D3 type 1 natural killer T (NKT) cells when incubated with L-M(TK-) mouse fibroblasts expressing the lipid antigen-presenting molecule CD1d (L-CD1d cells) prior to their co-culture with the DN32.D3 NKT cells.1
