    Auxinole is an antagonist of the auxin receptor transport inhibitor response 1 (TIR1).1 It inhibits indole 3-acetic acid-induced root shoot growth in Arabidopsis seedlings when used at a concentration of 20 µM. Auxinole (5 or 10 µM) prevents indole 3-acetic acid-induced increases in root hair growth, root gravitropism, the number of lateral roots, and indole 3-acetic acid-induced decreases in primary root length in Arabidopsis seedlings. It reduces the number of programmed cell death-induced perforations in A. madagascariensis leaves when used at a concentration of 25 µM.2
