    Product Description

    Perfluorohexyloctane is a semifluorinated alkane and perfluoroalkyl substance (PFAS).1 It improves corneal penetration of cyclosporine A (Item No. 12088) in isolated porcine eyes when used at concentrations of 0.05 and 0.1%. Topical application of perfluorohexyloctane improves the lipid layer grade in rabbit eyes without inducing irritation.2 Formulations containing perfluorohexyloctane have been used in the treatment of dry eye disease.
