    Product Description

Ziyuglycoside II is a steroid glycoside that has been found in S. officinalis and has diverse biological activities.1,2,3 It is cytotoxic to SMMC-7721, PC-9, HCT116, MCF-7, and MDA-MB-231 cancer cells when used at concentrations of 30 and 90 µg/ml.1 Ziyuglycoside II (6, 12, and 18 mg/kg) increases the number of white blood cells in peripheral blood and the number of hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells (HSPCs) in a mouse model of leukopenia induced by the nitrogen mustard alkylating agent cyclophosphamide (Item No. 13849).2 It also reduces small intestinal epithelial cell apoptosis and IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF-α levels, as well as improves diarrhea symptoms in a mouse model of rotavirus-induced diarrhea.3
