    Product Description

JC2-11 is an inflammasome inhibitor.1 It inhibits increases in IL-1β production induced by the NOD-like receptor protein 3 (NLRP3) activators ATP (Item Nos. 14498 | 40182), nigericin (Item No. 11437), or monosodium urate crystals in LPS-primed primary mouse bone marrow-derived macrophages (BMDMs) when used at concentrations of 50 or 100 µM. JC2-11 (100 µM) inhibits increases in IL-1β production induced by flagellin or dsDNA, which are activators of NLR family CARD domain-containing protein 4 (NLRC4) and absent in melanoma 2 (AIM2), respectively, in LPS-primed primary mouse BMDMs. It also scavenges DPPH (Item No. 14805) radicals in a cell-free assay (IC50 = 52.5 µM) and inhibits LPS-induced nitric oxide (NO) production in primary rat microglial cells.2 JC2-11 (10 mg/kg) inhibits LPS-induced increases in IL-1β production in peritoneal lavage fluid in mice.1
