Explore how neutrophils shape the immune response in health and disease. This poster highlights neutrophil pathogen defense mechanisms, including phagocytosis, degranulation, and NETosis, as well as neutrophil roles in inflammation and NET-associated pathologies.
DOWNLOAD NOWJC2-11 is an inflammasome inhibitor.1 It inhibits increases in IL-1β production induced by the NOD-like receptor protein 3 (NLRP3) activators ATP (Item Nos. 14498 | 40182), nigericin (Item No. 11437), or monosodium urate crystals in LPS-primed primary mouse bone marrow-derived macrophages (BMDMs) when used at concentrations of 50 or 100 µM. JC2-11 (100 µM) inhibits increases in IL-1β production induced by flagellin or dsDNA, which are activators of NLR family CARD domain-containing protein 4 (NLRC4) and absent in melanoma 2 (AIM2), respectively, in LPS-primed primary mouse BMDMs. It also scavenges DPPH (Item No. 14805) radicals in a cell-free assay (IC50 = 52.5 µM) and inhibits LPS-induced nitric oxide (NO) production in primary rat microglial cells.2 JC2-11 (10 mg/kg) inhibits LPS-induced increases in IL-1β production in peritoneal lavage fluid in mice.1
