    Product Description

JNJ-42847922 is an orexin receptor 2 (OX2R) antagonist (Ki = 10 nM for the human receptor).1 It is selective for OX2R over OX1R (Ki = 794 nM for the human receptor) and a panel of 50 receptors, ion channels, and transporters at 1 µM. JNJ-42847922 (3, 10, and 30 mg/kg) reduces the latency to non-rapid eye movement (NREM) sleep onset and increases the duration of NREM sleep in rats.
