    Product Description

SLX-4090 is an inhibitor of microsomal triglyceride transfer protein (MTTP; IC50 = 8 nM).1 It selectively inhibits MTTP-mediated secretion of apolipoprotein B (ApoB) over ApoA1 in primary human hepatocytes (IC50s = 81 and >30,000 nM, respectively). In vivo, SLX-4090 reduces postprandial increases in serum triglyceride levels in rats (ED50 = 7 mg/kg). It reduces serum triglyceride levels, weight gain, and total cholesterol levels in ApoE-/- mice fed a high-fat diet when administered at a dose of 5.8 mg/kg per day.

WARNING This product is not for human or veterinary use.
