ENVIRONMENTAL TOXICOLOGY TOOLS & SERVICESPyribencarb is a carbamate fungicide.1 It inhibits the production of aflatoxins in A. parasiticus (IC50 = 0.43 µM).2 It inhibits wild-type B. cinerea and strobilurin-resistant B. cinerea mitochondrial complex II, also known as succinate-cytochrome c reductase (IC50s = 0.079 and 5.1 µM, respectively) and wild-type B. cinerea mitochondrial complex III, also known as decylubiquinol-cytochrome c reductase (IC50 = 0.023 µM).3 Pyribencarb (3 µg/ml) prevents and reduces B. cinerea lesion development on cucumber seedlings and inhibits B. cinerea mycelial growth (EC50 = 0.006 µg/ml).1
