    3-O-Methylgallic acid is a polyphenol that has been found in Keishibukuryogan-ka-yokuinin (KBGY), a traditional Japanese medicine, and has antioxidant activity.1 It inhibits lipid hydroperoxide (LPO) generation in a cell-free assay when used at a concentration of 10 µM.
