    Soyasaponin Ba is a saponin that has been found in P. vulgaris and has enzyme inhibitory and immune stimulatory activities.1,2 It is an inhibitor of aldose reductase 1 (Ki = 66 µM for the recombinant human enzyme).1 Soyasaponin Ba (50 µg/mouse) potentiates ovalbumin-induced increases in IgG and IgG1 serum levels in mice.2
