    Product Description

    (–)-6-PPD-Q is the less toxic enantiomer of the oxidized 6-PPD transformation product and environmental toxicant 6-PPD-Q (Item Nos. 45446 | 38247 | 45543).1 It is lethal to rainbow trout (LC50 = 3.56 µg/L) and 2.4-fold less toxic than (+)-6-PPD-Q (Item No. 42621). Despite its slower metabolism than (+)-6-PPD-Q, (–)-6-PPD-Q exhibits a lower uptake rate and higher elimination rate, which results in lower bioaccumulation.
