    2-PMDQ is an antagonist of α1-adrenergic receptors (α1-ARs; Ki = 1.7 nM).1 It is selective for α1-ARs over α2-ARs (Ki = 962 nM). 2-PMDQ has antihypertensive activity in anesthetized rats (ED50 = 0.25 mg/kg).2
