Neuropathiazol is an inducer of neuronal differentiation.1 It induces differentiation of primary rat hippocampal neural progenitor cells when used at a concentration of 10 µM. Neuropathiazol (20 mg/kg per day), alone and in combination with cyclophosphamide (Item No. 13849), decreases tumor volume in an SK-N-AS neuroblastoma mouse xenograft model.2 It increases intratumoral levels of neuronatin, microtubule-associated protein 2 (MAP2), and neurofilament light polypeptide (NF-L), markers of differentiation, in the same model.
