    Product Description

TUG-469 is an agonist of free fatty aid receptor 1 (FFAR1/GPR40).1 It induces calcium mobilization in a reporter assay using cells expressing human FFAR1/GPR40 (EC50 = 18.6 nM). TUG-469 (10 µM) induces insulin secretion in INS-1E insulinoma cells. It inhibits increases in blood glucose levels in a glucose tolerance test (GTT) in mice when administered at a dose of 5 mg/kg.2
