    5'-Azido-5'-deoxythymidine is a nucleoside derivative and an inhibitor of poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP; Ki = 12 µM).1 It is also a synthetic intermediate that has been used in the synthesis of antiviral prodrugs.2
