    Product Description

    MMPSI inhibits caspase-3 and caspase-7 in a cell-free assay (IC50s = 0.085 and 1.3 µM, respectively).1 It is selective for caspase-3 and caspase-7 over caspase-1, -6, and -8 in a cell-free assay (IC50s = >15 µM). MMPSI reduces ischemia-reperfusion injury-induced apoptosis in H9c2 rat cardiomyocytes (IC50 = 0.5 µM) and spontaneous apoptosis in adult rabbit cardiomyocyte isolates (IC50 = 1.5 µM).2 It reduces infarct size in an isolated rabbit heart model of ischemia-reperfusion injury when used at concentrations of 0.1, 1, and 10 µM.
