    Melanostatin DM is a peptide α-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH) antagonist (pA2 = 7 in U. ornatus melanocytes).1 It inhibits skin darkening induced by α-MSH (Item No. 29923) or [NIe4,D-Phe7]-α-MSH (Item Nos. 41548 | 24475) in white background-adapted U. ornatus.
