Explore how neutrophils shape the immune response in health and disease. This poster highlights neutrophil pathogen defense mechanisms, including phagocytosis, degranulation, and NETosis, as well as neutrophil roles in inflammation and NET-associated pathologies.
DOWNLOAD NOWOlcegepant is a nonpeptide calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) receptor antagonist (Ki = 14.4 pM).1 It inhibits α-CGRP- or β-CGRP-induced decreases in mean arterial blood pressure (MABP) and increases in middle meningeal artery (MMA) diameter in a closed cranial window rat model of migraine.2 Olcegepant also inhibits vasodilation induced by electrical trigeminal ganglion stimulation in marmoset facial skin (ID50 = ~3 µg/kg).1 It reduces mechanical hypersensitivity in a rat model of inflammatory pain at 3 and 10 mg/kg.3 Olcegepant decreases muscularis externa leukocyte infiltration and improves gastrointestinal motility in a mouse model of postoperative ileus.4 It also decreases IL-6 bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) levels and recovery time to baseline weight in a mouse model of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection.5
