    Product Description

    Vornorexant is a dual orexin receptor antagonist (DORA).1 It inhibits [Ala6,12]-orexin A-induced calcium mobilization in CHO-K1 cells expressing recombinant human orexin receptor 1 (OX1R) or OX2R (IC50s = 1.05 and 1.27 nM, respectively). Vornorexant (1, 3, and 10 mg/kg, p.o.) decreases sleep latency and increases total sleep in rats. Formulations containing vornorexant have been used in the treatment of insomnia.
