    Product Description

    Cayman’s Microcystin ELISA Kit is a competitive assay that can be used for quantification of microcystin in various natural water samples, serum, and tissue homogenates. Often, environmental reports involving testing of natural sources such as water samples report numbers in parts per billion as the unit of concentration. In this kit, we report in ng/ml, since 1 ng/ml equals 1 ppb, the units can be used interchangably. The assay has a range of 0.027-8 ng/ml (ppb) with an average sensitivity (80% B/B0) of 0.196 ng/ml (ppb), and a lower limit of detection (LLOD) of 0.021 ng/ml (ppb).
