    Benzoylecgonine (CRM) (Item No. ISO60186) is a certified reference material that is structurally categorized as an alkaloid. It is a major metabolite of cocaine (Item Nos. 16186 | ISO60176) that is produced by the action of liver carboxylesterase.1 Methodology for the simultaneous determination of cocaine, benzoylecgonine, benzoic acid, and common adulterants in forensic samples using HPLC with a diode-array detector has been described.2 Benzoylecgonine is regulated as a Schedule II compound in the United States. Benzoylecgonine (CRM) (Item No. ISO60186) is provided as a DEA exempt preparation. This product is intended for research and forensic applications.
