    MG149 is a histone acetyltransferase (HAT) inhibitor with IC50 values of 74 and 47 μM, for human recombinant Tip60 and males absent on the first (MOF) HATs, respectively.1,2 MG149 targets the acetyl-CoA binding site and inhibits acetyltransferase activity in the nuclear extract from murine hippocampus, amygdala, and prefrontal cortex.3 MG149 also inhibits the p53 and NF-κB pathways.
