3-Acetylursolic acid is a triterpene and derivative of ursolic acid (Item No. 10072) with diverse biological activities.1,2,3 It inhibits ADP-, thrombin-, or epinephrine-induced aggregation of isolated rat platelets (IC50s = <1, 0.8, and <1 mg/ml, respectively).1 3-Acetylursolic acid is active against P. falciparum in vitro (IC50 = 4 µM).2 It is also active against B. cereus, S. aureus, and S. pneumoniae (MICs = 39.1, 19.6, and 4.81 µM, respectively).3 It is cytotoxic to HepG2 cells (LC50 = 351 µM).
