    Product Description

(+)-α-Tocopherol acetate is an acetate form of (+)-α-tocopherol, a natural form of vitamin E.1 It reduces liver necrosis and increases survival in male rats in a model of hepatotoxicity induced by carbon tetrachloride (CCl4) when administered at a dose of 450 mg/kg three times at 72, 48, and 24 hours before CCl4 administration.2 (+)-α-Tocopherol acetate (20 mg/kg in the diet) decreases abdominal fat percentage and breast muscle malondialdehyde (MDA) levels and increases breast muscle total antioxidant capacity, total superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity, and glutathione peroxidase (GPX) activity in broiler chickens.3
