Dihydrofolic acid is an active metabolite of folic acid (Item No. 20515) and an intermediate in the biosynthesis of both purines and pyrimidines.1,2 It is formed via the NADH-dependent reduction of folic acid by dihydrofolate reductase (DHFR).2 Dihydrofolic acid (10, 50, and 100 µg/ml) reduces insulin-like growth factor 1 receptor (IGF-1R) promotor activity in a cell-based reporter assay.3
