    Product Description

    Cytogenin is a coumarin derivative originally found in S. eurocidicum that has diverse biological activities.1,2 It reduces tumor weight in an Ehrlich murine spontaneous adenocarcinoma model when administered at a dose of 25 mg/kg per day.1 In vivo, cytogenin (30 and 100 mg/kg per day) reduces streptozotocin-induced decreases in body weight and increases in plasma glucose levels and macrophage pancreatic infiltration in a mouse model of diabetes.2 It also decreases zymosan- and LPS-induced nitric oxide production, as well as LPS-induced increases in Il-6 levels, in isolated mouse macrophages after administration at a dose of 100 mg/kg per day.
