    Product Description

    BAY-1161909 is an inhibitor of monopolar spindle 1 (Mps1; IC50 = 0.34 nM).1 It inhibits metaphase arrest induced by the antimitotic agent nocodazole (Item No. 13857) in HeLa cells (IC50 = 56 nM). BAY-1161909 inhibits proliferation in a panel of 86 cancer cell lines (median IC50 = 6.7 nM). In vivo, BAY-1161909 (2.5 mg/kg) reduces tumor area in a cisplatin-resistant A2780/CP70 ovarian cancer mouse xenograft model.
