    Product Description

Taurodeoxycholic acid (CRM) (Item No. 44869) is a certified reference material categorized as a taurine-conjugated secondary bile acid.1 It is produced from cholic acid via gut microbiota followed by taurine conjugation and is involved in the facilitation of digestion and absorption of dietary lipids and fat-soluble vitamins.2 Gastric juice levels of taurodeoxycholic acid are increased in patients with bile reflux gastritis or gastric cancer, and serum levels of taurodeoxycholic acid are decreased in patients with primary biliary cholangitis.3,4 This product is intended for use in quantitative analytical research applications. This product is also available as a general research tool (Item No. 15935).

WARNING This product is not for human or veterinary use.
